Which boilers can K-Ment be applied to?
K-Ment can be applied to any boiler that uses biomass as fuel. Customers primarily apply K-Ment in circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, but it is also effective in pulverized coal (PC) and stoker-type boilers.
What percentage of K-Ment should be added relative to the fuel?
The dosage depends on the characteristics of the fuel being used. Upon request, Blue Ocean analyzes the customer's fuel, ash, and clinker samples to calculate the optimal blending ratio.
Can K-Ment be applied to an existing boiler without additional equipment investment?
Boilers with an additive injection port can simply inject K-Ment directly. For boilers without injection equipment, we supply Clinker Zero—K-Ment pre-blended into the fuel—so clinker suppression can be achieved through the existing fuel supply line alone.
